How to Bid

Due diligence or research on a property is the responsibility of the bidder.

REALTORAUCTION.COM has developed a software system for internet bidding.

To place a bid you must:

  1. Be registered to bid
  2. Logged into the auction system with your username and password
  3. Read the auction advertisement, conducted due diligence and are sure you want to bid on the property.
  4. DETERMINE HOW MUCH YOU ARE WILLING TO PAY FOR THE PROPERTY.
  5. PROXY BIDDING our software will bid on your behalf against other bidders in the pre-set increments up to your maximum bid amount.
  6. Enter your high bid into the bid box at the bottom of the auction page
  7. Confirm your bid (a confirmation page will display the current bid and your maximum bid) an e-mail will be sent confirming your bid and proxy bid amount.
  8. Track the auction in your member center page or on the auction page itself.

Proxy Bidding is simple and easy just choose how much you are willing to pay and the doftware does the rest for you.

Example:

You have determined that a property is worth $100,000 to you as the highest price. The current bid is $35,000.00 and the auction closes in a couple days at a time you will not be able to sit at your computer and place bids.

You decide to let the computer be your 'Proxy' or bid up to $100,000.00 for you and place a maximum bid of $100,000.00 in the bid box.

The system will tabulate all other proxy bids and bid one increment higher than the highest bid in the system.

When other bidders place bids the system will automatically bid up to your proxy amount.

If the winning amount is lower than your proxy, the system will only bid up to one increment above the next bidder (or to the reserve price if any) until it reaches your maximum amount.

If you are out-bid you will be notified by e-mail that you have been outbid and given the opportunity to place a higher bid.

BE SURE TO READ THE AUCTION PAGE BEFORE BIDDING!

You may use a real estate agent or broker to bid for you, they must be registered with us before bidding or they will not receive any commissions.

You may not claim Buyers Broker status on properties that you are presonally bidding on. Sorry it just doesn't work that way in the auction world.
